Grade 7 Home Economics Cooperating Teacher ~ Lani Acheson Faculty Supervisor ~ Cathy McLaren My first placement was in Food Home Economics. This placement allowed me to student teach with over 200 Grade 7 students in 12 different schools. This placement allowed me the opportunity to explore both the Social Studies and Science curriculum while experiencing a traditional classroom setting. Grade 5 Cooperating Teacher ~ Kelly Koshowski Faculty Supervisor ~ Joan Lawson My third placement was at Forrest Elementary School in a Grade 5 classroom. This placement allowed me to teach a single classroom and learn the daily dynamics that are traditionally involved in this setting. Grade 7 Cooperating Teacher ~ Byron Billett Faculty Supervisor ~ Robert Ferguson My final placement was at McCreary School in a Grade 7 class. I really enjoyed being part of a rural school setting and having the opportunity to get to know many of the students within the school, not just the Grade 7 classroom. I had the opportunity to teach Grade 7 & 8 French, Art and Gym as well as Grade 7 ELA, Math, Social Studies and Science. |
